Halloween

After trick or treating at the mall, we stopped by Dan and Kristy's house.  For some reason, Grant was scared and hung on to my leg for a while. But he finally got used to Dan holding his head so it wouldn't drop on the floor, like the ground beef that is at the top of his shirt.  (Don't ask).

What boy doesn't check out his candy every chance he gets!

Pirate Evan not afraid of a headless man using him as a prop.

The nearbly St. Joe Fire Dept. had a Safe Halloween Party that we checked out.  There were some cute kiddy games that Grant played a lot and they had free popcorn and hotdogs!
Here is Grant picking a duck and then checking the number on the bottom to claim a prize.

Here is Grant doing a version of Skee Ball.  He really liked this game, until....

he discovered the bowling game!
We had a fun day and both boys enjoyed people watching.  Thank goodness we get to sleep in an extra hour tomorrow!  One good thing about Daylight Savings!
Happy Halloween!

Grant is 3

Tuesday Grant turned 3 and he was so excited about being a Big Boy!
I put a couple of signs up for him as he woke up that morning.

He especially liked the big 3 as he came down the stairs...probably because he could read it!

He got to eat off the special plate and we had some cinnamon rolls, which we don't usually have.

He opened up Daddy's gift, which he loved.  What boy doesn't like hammering and making things fall apart!
Evan was determined to get a piece so now Grant is pretty good about keeping the game put away when he's done.

We went to Crazy Pinz that day and he got to bowl!  He LOVES bowling and putt-putt, so this made for a very special day. I'm just glad his birthday fell on a "Two for Tuesday" and we got everything half price!

Not too bad, huh!

I could barely keep up with him in the blacklight putt-putt place!  He is really good about getting it in the hole and moving on.  Afterwards, we played some arcade games, used hand sanitizer about 100 times and then it was time to claim our wonderful prizes.  He got beef jerky, candy, coin holder and a squishy fish.  $5 doesn't get you very far...ha ha!

He wanted to eat lunch there and was pretty wore out by this time.  Evan was too, but they behaved great and it was a wonderful afternoon!

Not the best picture, but I got his 3 little fingers up!  He loved having people sing Happy Birthday to him.

And to top off the night, he got to go to the Zoo Halloween with his friend Leah, aka Cinderella!
It was rainy and I hated pushing the stroller, but Grant loved being out there and the rain didn't stop very many people.  Heather and I decided we are great moms for taking them in nasty weather.

I can't believe my baby is 3. He is growing so fast! Thanks for all the cards and phone calls.

Flowers are love's truest language.

I found this quote and thought about how beautiful flowers are, especially unexpected ones!  I am usually not a sucker for flowers, but since Jason has been traveling so much, I love coming downstairs and smelling them and seeing how beautiful they are.  They make me think of Jason and know that just about the time I will have to throw them out....Jason will be home!

Halloween Costume Preview

Grant playing his harmonica...like a real cowboy!
This was his Uncle Jim's outfit.

Ahoy Matey!
We took the boys down to Pap and Nana's Sunday afternoon to show them what they were going to be for Halloween

Grant didn't cooperate with pictures

But Evan did

Cowboys and Pirates obviously don't get along.  At least not for pictures!

7 months old!!!

My baby is 7 months old!  He's so big!  He is active and good natured.
He loves his big brother and is an unpredictable sleeper.  Sometimes good, sometimes bad.
He is a blessing! Here are some more pictures of him. I took these before Grant woke up, so he is not in them this month.

Wanting to move

Chubby legs!!

I'm good!

Getting tired of this chair...and this bear

He would rather stand anyways!

Da Bears at Da Starrs

Chillin' with the laptop!

Photographer Grant's fine work!

Evan, wanting to crawl...but he did clap for the first time while at Dan and Kristy's.

Grant walking on his tight rope.  He was building a tower and knocking it down,
but luckily this became entertaining.

Newport Aquarium!!!

My attempt at a family picture when we got in.  Evan is between me and Jason and decided to totally look the other way!  He is there, I promise!

There's my cutie!

Grant didn't want to pet anything, but he loved looking!

My big boys by the Living Reef!  Precious!

Look out for the shark!!!  Hilarious!

Grant looking on the glass bottom floor at the crocodiles.

Here is a better picture. Grant thought this was pretty neat.

Stopping for a snack.  It was crowded and tiring, but lots of fun.

They are so precious and make me so happy!
Gotta love these moments and remember them when they are fussy!

Grant knocking out the shark.

This is Grant last year at the same time!  Wow! A lot has changed in the past year!

Night in the hotel!

We stayed in a hotel Thursday night before heading off to Newport Aquarium on Friday.
Grant was so excited about staying in the hotel.  Here are the boys eating popcorn on the bed.

Jason is on the internet and the boys are watching Ratoullie.  Grant wants to watch the mouse movie again.
Evan slept GREAT and Grant was a monster in bed.  He kicked Jason all night.
It was great quality time as a family.

Messy eater!

Evan was a messy eater and Grant thought it was pretty funny. So, we had to take a picture!

This is Grant's picture. Not sure if you can see the stuff on his nose!
He is too cute!
