First Snowman This Winter

Jason and Grant got to build a snowman Sunday afternoon. Grant LOVED the snow and only hot chocolate with marshmallows got  him inside.

Attacking me!

He had lots of  fun throwing snowballs at me!

Now he is attacking Jason!

9 Months already!

My baby is now 9 months old!  He had a runny nose and was very mad at me for taking his pacifier out.  I didn't pick a good time to take his picture, but if I didn't do it, I would forget until the next day!

Going to see Santa

Today we went to the mall to see Santa.  Grant didn't freak out, but he wouldn't sit next to Santa.  Sooo, Santa came over to the stroller to get a picture with Grant!

Evan didn't have a problem with Santa, and tugged on his beard a bit.

They got elf ears which kept them entertained for a few minutes.

Later on tonight, the boys were cooking in the kitchen. Grant used to love to do this when he was little, and he still LOVES it.  Evan, just stuffed his face full of rice krispies.  The boys had fun and were entertained for quite a while, and all I had to do was sweep up a mess!

Paxson Christmas

Sunday we went to Pennville for the Christmas on the Paxson side.  It was a lot of fun and lots and lots of kids. There is always a good rivalry between Ohio State and Purdue.  But I think Purdue usually gets the last word in!  Pap got a cute poem about his donkey incident!  I'm sure he will proudly display it!
I didn't get many pictures, not even one of Great Grandma Paxson.  Ooops!
But here is a good one of Pap and Evan.  Evan is always feeding his face.  He loves finger food and dessert!

Here is Grant and Daddy with Nana.  I think Grant is discussing eating more chocolate with Jason.

Afterwards we went back for evening church services and finally made it home after a long day, we fixed popcorn for supper.  Jason used to do that when he was little, have popcorn on Sunday nights.  We have started doing that recently, but have to make two big bowls because Grant eats sooooo much of it!

Brrrr!

Grant had a lot of energy this morning, so I told him to go outside and play for 10 minutes...
"Run around the yard as fast as you can!" I told him.  After 2 minutes, he wanted in.  He had more fun dressing up to go outside and getting to wear his boots!

Evan almost made it out the door...he is getting much quicker!

Here is Grant telling me he was ready to come in.  "I'm too cold".  He finally believed me that it was
COOOOOOLD outside!

I did let him in...after I got a few pictures!

Christmas Cookies

Grant and I made cookies for Santa.  He is such a good little helper in the kitchen.  He is better at cracking eggs than I am!  He was a lot of fun!
Here he is making a Christmas Tree cookie.

He was very good at transfering them to the baking sheet.

Now, on to the fun part...sprinkles!!!  But Grant is all business!

Where is the cookie??

Rosey red lips...so cute!

Evan loves to explore under the table.

And surprisingly he found some sprinkles that wouldn't get off of his hand!

8 months and counting!

Evan is 8 months old and all over the place!  He is a very observant little boy and loves his big brother!
Here are some pictures of him in his chair.

Of course who wouldn't rather mess up paper!

Playdate at the Library

The boys and I met up with an old friend of mine at the downtown library. It was really nice to see Kelly again and her two kids, Jay and Evelyn.  The kids all played in the playroom while we caught up and then we headed down to Dunkin Donuts for a treat.  Kelly's kids are super sweet and Grant really liked making new friends.

Of course they would rather look at the fish than get their picture taken!

Grant's 3rd Birthday Party

OK, so I'm about a month behind on posting family happenings.  I guess that is part of the "try and keep up" slogan of the blog!
Well, Grant finally had his 3rd birthday party on November 14. It was a lot of fun and he really enjoyed it.
Here is Evan and Mema at the party.

Here are the kids lining up to play a version of pin the tail on the donkey.  Jason made a baseball diamond and we had them pin players onto homebase.

I didn't get a lot of pictures from the party.  But we had hot dogs to go along with the baseball theme and the kids had a lot of room to play games and the Wii and the adults could sit and relax.  He got a lot of great gifts and many birthday wishes.  Thanks to all who came!
Grant is sitting on Papa and waiting to open up some gifts after we got home.

He and Daddy and Evan liked the race track set that he got!  Such boys!

I can't belive he is 3!!!!
